Reflections

Over the last five years I’ve delved into martial arts in North America and been exposed to a variety of clubs while consulting across Canada. That consulting included work with a variety of information management solutions and learning management systems. Taken together, there seems to be a gap that has not been filled with an appropriate technological solution. Sure, there are various ad hoc ways that martial arts schools keep track of curriculum, attendance, and skill achievement, with a few products that target the business side of running a school, but those don’t handle monitoring or enhancing the instruction itself.

It’s time to go beyond the scrolls and notebooks for a solution that fits the modern age.
